Day of Justice Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (30/09)

Employees of the justice authorities of Kazakhstan annually celebrate their professional holiday on September 30, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic. It was first officially celebrated in the country in 2012.

The Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan traces its history back to the beginning of the 20th century, when in the difficult years that followed the October Revolution of 1917 and the Civil War, the justice system of the future state – of the USSR began to take shape. Then, back in 1919, the revolutionary authorities formed the department of justice of the Kazakh Territory, which was later transformed into the People's Commissariat of Justice, which later became the Ministry of Justice of the Kazakh SSR.

The formation and development of the justice bodies of Kazakhstan when it was one of the Republics of the Soviet Union became the basis for the formation of the justice bodies of independent Kazakhstan. Reform of the legal system, as well as the justice system, was required in accordance with new historical realities. Already in the summer of 1993, a Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was issued, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the legal system. The legal basis for the activities of justice bodies as a state structure was formalized in 2002 by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Justice Bodies».

The functions of the justice authorities belonging to the executive branch of state power are very diverse. Hence the rather extensive structure of the Ministry of Justice, represented by departments, departments, departments, etc. The Ministry of Justice takes part in the formation of legislation, its systematization and improvement. Justice authorities carry out examination of adopted laws, forensic examination and execution of court decisions, as well as many other functions.

Every year on September 30, the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan holds ceremonial events dedicated to the Day of Justice Workers. These meetings are attended by government officials, including representatives of the Presidential Administration. A solemn ceremony is held to present state awards, valuable gifts, letters of gratitude to employees who distinguished themselves in the service, and to honor veterans of the justice authorities.
