Feast of Warrior Fire (31/03)

The Feast of the Fire of Warriors is celebrated in the Zoroastrian calendar annually on March 31.

In general, in Zoroastrianism there are three holidays dedicated to the three Fires, which symbolize the types of hvarna. The Fire of Kings is called Atar Gushtasp, Fire of Priests — Atar Farnbak, Fire of Military Hvarna — Atar Barzenmihr. These three Fires have always burned in the temples of the Zoroastrians, each on the altar of its own form, and each Fire symbolizes the path in life, the three main directions of human activity.

It is believed that Divine Grace — is hvarna — is given not only from birth. The fire of a warrior breaks out for everyone who receives hvarna for the merit of good deeds. And the path of a warrior — is the path of real life achievements and victories.

The Feast of the Fire of Warriors — is a holiday of warriors and people from the boar warrior. It is celebrated only by men, and festivities last from sunrise to sunset. Men wear hats or helmets (you cannot leave your head uncovered) and eat rough food, as befits warriors.

On this day, three fires are lit and resin torches are burned.
