Day of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan (06/12)

Every year on December 6, employees of the Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan celebrate the professional holiday — Day of Education of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic.

The State Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan began working as part of the People's Commissariat of Justice in 1922. In 1933, the powers of the prosecutor's office were expanded: under the People's Commissariat of Justice, the prosecutor's office was formed, which became relatively independent.

An important stage in the development of the prosecutor's office began in 1936, when the new Constitution of the USSR gave Kazakhstan the rights of a sovereign Union Republic. From that moment on, the state prosecutor's office began to work as an independent structure of law enforcement agencies. In November 1937, an order was issued to separate the People's Commissariat of Justice and the prosecutor's office, which began to report directly to the USSR prosecutor.

Hard times have also happened in the history of the Kazakh prosecutor's office. In 1937 alone, more than 40 workers were unjustifiably dismissed from this structure, some of them were arrested and convicted.

During the Great Patriotic War, many investigators and prosecutors contributed to the defense of the country. In the first year of the war alone, 411 out of 885 employees of the Kazakh prosecutor's office went to the front.

On December 6, 1991, Resolution « was adopted on the formation of a unified system of prosecutorial bodies of the Kazakh SSR, ensuring their independence and independence». In honor of this day, a new holiday — Prosecutor's Day appeared on the calendar.

After Kazakhstan became an independent state, the structure and functions of the prosecutor's office changed in part, but the main direction of its activities remained monitoring compliance with the laws of the country.

On this day, the prosecutor's office sums up the results of its activities and celebrates the best employees; Concerts and other celebrations are organized.
