Day of formation of Primorsky Krai (20/10)

October 20 is the Day of Primorsky Territory Formation. Officially, this holiday appeared on the calendar in 1995, when the current Charter of the Primorsky Territory was adopted and promulgated. But first it was celebrated on October 25th.

It was on this day in 1922 that another important historical event took place: Primorye was liberated from the invaders. Parts of the people's revolutionary army of the Far Eastern Republic entered Vladivostok, putting an end to almost five years of intervention and fratricidal civil war in the Far East.

October 25, 1922 went down in the history of Primorye as a great holiday. The memory of this event was immortalized in 1923, when the residents of Vladivostok renamed Aleutskaya Street into 25 October Street. True, after 75 years, in 1998, the street was again returned to its historical name - Aleutskaya.
