World Pet Day (30/11)

Every year on November 30, World Pets Day is celebrated in many countries. It is dedicated to all animals domesticated by man and serves as a reminder to all mankind of the responsibility for "our smaller brothers."

It is not surprising that the words of the Little Prince from the work of Antoine de Saint-Exupery became the motto of this Day: “You are forever responsible for those whom you tamed”, which are addressed to all people.

The idea of holding this holiday, which is relevant today, was first voiced back in 1931, at the International Congress of Supporters of the Movement for the Protection of Nature, in Florence (Italy). Then various environmental organizations and conservation societies declared their readiness to organize various mass events aimed at instilling in people a sense of responsibility for all life on the planet, including domestic animals.
