World Party Day (03/04)

April 3 marks the fun unofficial holiday of – World Party Day. Also known as P-Day.

The word «party», which is often used in the vocabulary of young people today, is borrowed from English, in Russian it means a party, and at any level – from a gala reception to a youth party in an informal setting. The theme, nature and scenario of the event depends on the organizers and participants. Parties are popular all over the world, because they relax, communicate, or just have a good time.

However, despite the cheerful nature of the holiday, it was created with serious intentions. The fact is that the idea to organize Pati Day came from the science fiction novel «Flight» by the American writer Vanna Bonta (1958–2014): the narrative of the book ends with a countdown to April 3, 2000, when a mass holiday uniting humanity is to take place all over the world. This novel was published in 1995, and on April 3, 1996, the first Party Day took place in the United States, which was held under the motto: «Party – is the opposite of war».

The main goal of the holiday was the idea that in order to create a better, high-quality reality in which every person lives, it is necessary to take positive and active actions, enjoying life together with other people, and not just passively voice the thought of «world throughout the world».

Every year the holiday gained popularity, and has now acquired the status of an international day, attracting more and more supporters. After all, it does not have any political or religious goals, but is aimed at making people’s lives more fun and happier. Moreover, everyone can take an active part in creating a positive reality by celebrating this day. After all, a party (party) – is a celebration of life that unites people, helps them get to know each other better, and make friends. And meeting new people from different cultures helps develop intercultural understanding and respect, reduce tension in society and increase trust in each other.

It is not even necessary to celebrate Pati Day on a wide and large scale. You can simply throw a party for family and friends, or organize a fun party for neighbors and colleagues. Just have fun and relaxed time by saying kind words to those around you. Let the surrounding reality become brighter and better. After all, peace begins with each of us and those next to us.

By the way, in a number of countries on April 3, in honor of the holiday, mass events with songs and dances are held, in which everyone takes part. Regardless of scale and focus, all events of the day are united by one goal – to enjoy every day, be able to love the world around us and respect the right of other people to live a happy life in a world without war.

Let us remind you that on March 20 the world celebrates International Day of Happiness.
