Family Day in Kazakhstan (11/09)

Since 2013, every second Sunday of September, Family Day has been celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The idea of establishing this holiday was announced in 2009, when the National Commission of the country, engaged in the study of women's affairs and the family and demographic situation, took the initiative to establish Family Day in Kazakhstan and hold it annually on May 15, coinciding with the date of the International Day of Families.

On March 1, 2013, the President of the country N. Nazarbayev signed a Decree on amendments and additions to the List of professional and other holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By this Decree, a new holiday was established in the country - Family Day, and the date of its celebration was determined - every second Sunday of September.
