Day of Judicial Workers of Turkmenistan (05/07)

On July 5, Turkmenistan celebrates the Day of Judicial Workers of the Republic.

The role of the judiciary in the state system is aimed at protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, respecting state and public interests, as well as human interests. The main tasks of the state in the formation of the judiciary are the creation of a judicial system that will be as transparent, transparent, accessible and fair as possible, before which all citizens are equal. The population's trust in the activities of the judiciary is also of great importance.

As in most states, in Turkmenistan the activities of the judiciary also take into account the norms of international law.

The judiciary in Turkmenistan is independent and independent of the other two branches of government: legislative and executive. According to the legislation of the Republic, judicial power is exercised only by the courts through civil, administrative, criminal and arbitration proceedings. In its activities, the judiciary is primarily guided by the Constitution and the Law of Turkmenistan on the Court.

In addition to solving their main tasks, the judicial bodies of Turkmenistan, which include the Supreme Court, the Arbitration Court, the courts of velayats, etrap courts, etc., also resolve issues of legal education.

The responsibility lying with judges determines the strict requirements for candidates for this socially and nationally significant post, as well as the procedure for appointment to the position, which are legally formalized. For its part, the state tries to take care of court employees, guaranteeing and providing them with certain social benefits.

The conscientious and impeccable service of judicial officials is celebrated by the presentation of a badge «Honorary Worker of the Judicial Bodies of Turkmenistan». This incentive has been introduced in Turkmenistan since 2017. The corresponding resolution was signed by the President of the Republic.

The holiday is not one of the days off, so it is celebrated by judicial officials at the workplace. Often, it is the holiday that marks, certificates and valuable gifts are presented to those who honestly fulfill their professional duty. As a rule, this happens during ceremonial events organized on the occasion of the holiday. The head of state traditionally addresses the judiciary with congratulations, expressing gratitude for his work for the benefit of the Fatherland, as well as wishes for further improvement of the judicial system.
