World Children's Football Day (19/06)

June 19 is World Children's Football Day. This holiday was born in 2001 thanks to an agreement between FIFA (International Football Federation) and the UN Children's Fund.

The main task when establishing the holiday, the organizers set was to further popularize perhaps one of the most popular sports games in the world, as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.

From the point of view of the UN structure, which includes UNICEF, World Children's Football Day should encourage sports organizations in different countries to find talented children and provide opportunities to discover their talents and capabilities. FIFA pursues the same interests.

One of the most important tasks of the modern world continues to be caring for children and the younger generation as a whole. One of the components of success along this path is ensuring equal opportunities for children in different countries with different levels of well-being. Equality of these opportunities is also important when realizing the right of children to organize their leisure time, of which sport should become an integral part.

Football – is the most popular sport in the whole world. This game is also incredibly popular among children and teenagers. The task of football sports organizations is – to search for truly gifted children who have good prospects in football, which is almost impossible without providing the opportunity to play football for simple yard teams, where many future stars of world football start, gradually moving to teenage and youth clubs at the professional level.

However, football – is not only about professionals. This game allows you to organize leisure time for millions of children around the world.

Like any sports game, in addition to physical endurance skills, football teaches children team spirit, coherence, friendship, develops perseverance and determination, dexterity, and concentration. Like any game, football is built on rules and teaches players how to comply with them, as well as understanding why rules are needed in life at all. In addition, football – is an accessible sport. The game requires players and a ball, and the desire to play your favorite game allows you to play it even in unprepared conditions, although the number of sports grounds and stadiums in many countries around the world is constantly growing.

Traditionally, on June 19, competitions and football championships in different parts of the world are timed to coincide with the holiday. Children's football teams, selflessly and sincerely devoted to their hobby, are no less exciting than professional adult players play their games, and their experiences are in no way inferior to the intensity of world championships.

Let us remind you that every year on December 10, the world traditionally celebrates World Football Day.
