Every year on September 3, Russia celebrates the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism.
This memorable date was established in 2005 by the federal law "On the Days of Military Glory of Russia" and is associated with the tragic events in Beslan (North Ossetia, September 1-3, 2004), when militants seized one of the city's schools. As a result of the terrorist attack at school No. 1, more than three hundred people died, including 186 children.
Today, remembering the victims of Beslan and Budennovsk, the seizure of the theater center on Dubrovka and the explosions of residential buildings in Moscow, Buynaksk and Volgodonsk, and all terrorist acts, as well as law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, the Russians are united in their intention to resist with all their might terrorism, both national and international, to prevent this criminal insanity from spreading.
