On December 31, according to the Gregorian calendar, the month of Sharaf begins, which means “Honor” in Arabic. On this day, the first day of the month of Sharaf according to the nineteen-month Baha'i calendar, an important holiday is celebrated - the feast of the Nineteenth day of the month of Sharaf.
All major religions bring up only the good in people. If there are negative manifestations, then this is usually due to fanaticism and a misunderstanding of the essence of the teaching. Baha'u'llah, the founding prophet of the Baha'i Faith, even argues that if religion becomes a source of discord and hatred, then it is better to do without it altogether. Religion should be the source of friendship and love.
“The intention underlying the revelation of every Heavenly Book, every divinely inspired word, is to give righteousness and understanding to all people, so that peace and tranquility may be established among them. Everything that gives confidence to the hearts of men, everything that exalts their position or contributes to their contentment, is pleasing to God.
How majestic will be the position of a person, if only he decides to fulfill his high destiny! And what an abyss of humiliation he can fall into - an abyss into which even the most insignificant of creatures did not fall! Take advantage, friends, of the opportunity this Day opens up for you, and do not deprive yourselves of the generous outpouring of His grace. I pray to God that on this blessed Day He will graciously vouchsafe each of you to adorn yourself with the pattern of the purest and most righteous deeds. Verily, He does what is pleasing to Him.”
