Montenegro State Day (13/07)

Montenegro Statehood Day (Dan državnosti / Montenegro Statehood Day) is until recently the only national holiday in Montenegro, the date for which was not chosen by chance, but for two reasons at once.

On July 13, 1878, the Berlin Congress recognized Montenegro as the 27th independent state in the world. On July 12, 2004, Statehood Day was legally granted the status of a state holiday.

Reference: Initially, Montenegro was part of the Serbian state of Nemanevich and became independent after the conquest of Serbia by the Ottoman Empire, but soon it itself was conquered.
