Blood Donor Day of Kyrgyzstan (25/09)

Blood Donor Day in Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzstandyn kan donor kunu) is celebrated on the last Sunday of September.

Established by Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 599 dated October 15, 1997, in order to further develop the donor movement, raise the prestige of blood donors, educate young people in the traditions of humanism and respect for each other.

After all, blood donation is an integral part of providing medical care in order to save the lives of the sick and injured in accidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, military operations and other emergency situations. Therefore, the transfusion of blood and its products annually allows saving many human lives.
