The Day of the worker of the judicial system of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz Respublikasynyn sot sistemasy kyzmatkerinin kunu) is celebrated in the country annually on March 5, since 2005.
This professional holiday was established by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 387 dated May 26, 2004, taking into account the significant contribution of the judiciary to the development of the constitutional foundations, to ensuring the rule of law, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the individual, as well as in order to increase the authority and effectiveness of the courts in the Kyrgyz Republic .
The judicial system of Kyrgyzstan originates from the judicial system that developed in the Soviet state.
Judicial power is exercised through constitutional, civil, criminal, administrative and other forms of legal proceedings.
The judicial system of the Kyrgyz Republic is established by the Constitution and laws, and consists of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court and local courts. Specialized courts may be established by constitutional law. The creation of emergency courts is not allowed.
