Day of a medical worker in Kyrgyzstan (03/07)

Doctors of the Republic annually celebrate their professional holiday, the Day of the Medical Worker of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzstandyn medicinelyk kyzmatkerinin kunu), on the first Sunday of July.

The Day of the Medical Worker was established by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 253 dated June 8, 1993 in connection with the adoption in July 1992 of the law of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan “On protecting the health of the people of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan”.

Usually, on the eve of a professional holiday, a solemn meeting of the medical community of the republic is held, in which representatives of the President, the Government and the Jogorku Kenesh of the country, international organizations, as well as medical workers from all over the republic, including veterans of the republican healthcare, take part.
