The founding day of the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador (25/07)

Ecuador's largest city, Guayaquil, celebrates its founding day on July 25 every year. This event took place in 1536.

Guayaquil or officially - Santiago de Guayaquil (Santiago de Guayaquil) - is located on the western bank of the Guayas River, which flows into the Pacific Ocean. Due to its convenient location, the city has become the center of the fishing and processing industries of Ecuador. It can also be said that Guayaquil is the cultural capital of Ecuador.
