Every year on the last Sunday of June, all Ukrainian youth celebrate the national holiday - Youth Day (Ukrainian "Youth Day"), established in 1994 by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 323/94 on the initiative of youth associations and organizations.
This holiday dates back to the time of the existence of the USSR, when the “Day of Soviet Youth” was celebrated on the last Sunday of June. After Ukraine gained independence, the date of the holiday was preserved.
The category of "youth" in Ukraine includes citizens aged 14 to 35 years. Approximately a quarter of the population of Ukraine are young citizens of the country.
