Stock market worker's day in Ukraine (12/06)

Stock Market Worker's Day (Ukrainian. «Stock Rinku» Pratsivnik Day) is celebrated annually in Ukraine on June 12. This date appeared in the official calendar of professional holidays in the country in 2008.

On March 11, 2008, Viktor Yushchenko, who then held the post of head of state, signed decree №202/2008 establishing a new holiday. The document states that a new date is being introduced, taking into account the significant contribution of stock market workers to accelerating economic reforms and creating a real market economy, the role of the stock market in the process of attracting investment into the Ukrainian economy, and improving the investment climate«.

The holiday has already developed its own traditions. As a rule, it is organized by representatives of the largest Ukrainian securities exchanges, including the PFTS Stock Exchange and the Ukrainian Stock Exchange (the first to begin trading on the securities market).

On this day, securities market participants accept congratulations from partners and also gather in a solemn atmosphere to celebrate their professional date and honor the best representatives of their industry.

Government authorities do not forget on this day; The words of recognition are often heard by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market.
