Mother's Day in Kazakhstan (18/09)

Mother's Day in Kazakhstan is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of September. Although the traditions of honoring mothers in this country have been around for more than a year, this holiday was officially established in 2012, on the initiative of the President of the Republic Nursultan Nazarbayev.

It was he, on the eve of the celebration of March 8, 2012, who expressed the idea of setting a certain day for honoring Kazakhstani mothers, noting the role of women as the keeper of the family hearth, and that Mother's Day – is a holiday in the world widespread and relevant. The president also suggested congratulating Kazakhstani mothers in the fall, « when cleaning ends, at full time ».

Soon, the Government Decree introduced the corresponding amendments to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 20, 1998 № 3827 « On professional and other holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan », according to which a new holiday – Mother's Day was established in the country, and the date of its celebration – the third Sunday of September was determined.

This holiday was set with the aim of honoring Kazakhstani mothers. After all, mother – is the focus of the beginning of life, the foundation of the family, the keeper of family traditions. Therefore, honoring the mother – is, among other things, the preservation of Kazakh culture and traditions, which is very important in the modern world. Since the young generation sometimes loses its main guidelines in life and forgets about the value of the family, marriage and the tradition of its people.

Today, all residents of Kazakhstan can congratulate their mothers on their now official holiday – Mother's Day.

Recall that in most European countries, the USA, Canada, China, Japan, Mother's Day is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May, and in Russia – on the last Sunday of November.
