Grandfather's Day in Poland (22/01)

It would be strange, when celebrating Grandmother’s Day, not to remember about grandfathers...

Therefore, after Grandmother’s Day celebrated in Poland on January 21, Grandfathers’ Day (Dzień Dziadka) is celebrated in Poland on January 22, when small and adult grandchildren congratulate them on the holiday.

Each of us remembers with joy, and sometimes with sadness, the wonderful days spent with our grandfather or grandmother. After all, it was they who decorated our childhood with warmth, love, care, their tenderness and, of course, advice and support — at times it is so necessary.

Of course, as a rule, grandfathers spend less time with their grandchildren, but how children need their attention and love!

On this day, grandchildren come to visit their grandparents and give them gifts and flowers. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to have heart-to-heart conversations, share news, remember family stories, and feel the joy of meeting. This is truly a celebration of the family, when representatives of several generations all come together on such a wonderful occasion.
