Helsinki Day in Finland (12/06)

Every year on June 12, Finland celebrates the founding day of the capital — Helsinki Day (Finnish). Helsinki-päivä).

Concerts take place in Kaivopuisto and other places. On this day there is especially a lot of entertainment for families with children — admission to the Linnanmäki amusement park is free.

The city of Helsinki was founded in 1550, and the city's first birthday party was celebrated on June 12, 1959.
