Day of the forensic expert (Ukrainian. Ship Expert Day, celebrated in the country annually on July 4, was established by Decree of the President of Ukraine №424 of June 10, 2009.
The establishment of this professional holiday was initiated before the President of Ukraine by the Coordination Council on Forensic Problems under the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. When deciding to establish a new holiday, the President was guided by the fact that forensic activities are of great importance in ensuring justice and protecting the rights and freedoms of man and citizen.
What is meant by forensic examination?
Forensic examination — procedural action consisting of conducting research and giving an opinion by an expert on issues whose resolution requires special knowledge in the field of science, technology, art or craft, and which are brought before the expert by the court, judge, body of inquiry, person conducting the inquiry, investigator or prosecutor, in order to establish the circumstances to be proven in a particular case.
