Kyrgyzstan Entrepreneur Day (20/09)

The professional holiday Entrepreneur Day, which is celebrated annually in Kyrgyzstan on September 20, was established by a decree of the Government of the Republic of October 20, 2000, recognizing the significant contribution of entrepreneurs to the economy of the Republic, taking into account the importance and importance of entrepreneurship development as one of the main driving forces of progress and supporting the resolution of the First Congress entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan.

Traditionally, for this day, entrepreneurs organize various thematic events (seminars, conferences, exhibitions) related to business issues, as well as festive celebrations in different cities.

Over the years of independence, domestic entrepreneurship has formed in the country, as a result of deep socio-economic reforms, which is a powerful socio-political force.

November 25, 2002 President of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Akayev signed Decree «On the Council for Entrepreneurship Development under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic». This document was adopted in order to ensure the implementation of a coordinated policy and regulation of relations in the field of entrepreneurship development, improving the mechanism for protecting the rights and interests of entrepreneurs.

According to the Decree, the Entrepreneurship Development Council deals with the problems of creating favorable conditions and developing entrepreneurship. The Council is also working to implement the tasks of the Republican Conferences of Entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan.
