On May 18, 2015, the inhabitants of the planet celebrated for the first time the unusual date – Pink Panther Day – a new holiday established in the Kingdom of Love (a community of friends whose members are musicians, culinary specialists and other passionate creative people).
Let us remind you that the Pink Panther – is a famous character in feature and animated films, loved by both children and adults. The founders of the holiday note that it was the character’s ability to think outside the box and practically implement his ideas (and specifically – repainting the world pink), his humor and positive attitude that became the main motives for establishing the date.
The main symbol of the holiday was the Pink Diamond, and its «spiritual basis» was proclaimed non-standard thinking and change in the world around us. After all, we can change the world around us for the better only by changing ourselves and our thinking. And the world around us – is not only people, but also nature, and society as a whole, and each participant in the holiday, in a broad sense capable of creation and creativity, is such a unique Pink Diamond, capable of changing the world around us for the better.
By the way, Pink Panther Day also has the motto – «Think pink!» (which in Russian is literally «Think pink!»), which in the context of the holiday means – «Think creatively!». Therefore, it is not surprising that the idea of a new date was happily supported by artists, musicians, jewelers, confectioners, and people of creative professions from around the world.
Already in the first year of the event, festive events took place in different countries for as long as two weeks. In honor of the holiday, themed parties («Pink Party») with pink sweets were organized, the participants prepared creative surprises for their friends and acquaintances, a Pink Exhibition of paintings, handmade works, painted home textiles and fashion accessories. Videos were filmed and photo shoots were taken especially for the holiday. A charity event for collective painting of the painting was successful. New conservation campaigns related to the threat of extinction of rare species of animals and plants were announced. The pets also celebrated the holiday; they received gifts and goodies from their owners.
Today, a group of fans of the holiday on the Internet unites several thousand of its supporters. And the initiative group – Friends of the Pink Panther from around the world – these days is actively preparing for the next celebration: creating scenarios for the Day’s events, preparing themed parties, creative surprises in support of the holiday, environmental and charity events in order to change the world around us in practice, make it more harmonious.
Even for the holiday, Fairy space cookies are baked in the form of a binary code of zeros and ones, which, according to the tradition of Fairy Town, are served on plates with a pink border. In order to see the world in pink on this day, many bikers wear rose-colored glasses.
