Ragaib night among Muslims (03/02)

Holiday Night Ragaib or Ragaib kich – The date of marriage of the parents of the Prophet Muhammad – is celebrated annually by Muslims around the world in the seventh month of the lunar calendar, called Rajab. This month is sacred for Muslims. For a month, Rajab is prohibited from waging war. And this is connected precisely with the Night of Ragaib holiday, celebrated on the first Friday night of the holy month of Rajab.

The sacredness of the holiday is due to the significant event in the history of Islam that Muslims celebrate. And this event is connected with the day when Abdullah and Amina got married – parents of the Prophet Muhammad. It is believed that his conception took place on this day. And from the angels who descended from heaven, the light of prophecy descended on Muhammad through Abdullah.

While honoring the prophet, believers spend the night in prayer, and observe fasting the day after night. Islam claims that in the month of Rajab, and especially on the Night of Ragaib, Allah is most merciful to believers. That is why prayer, repentance for sins, fasting and performing noble deeds, among which the distribution of gifts to the poor and poor is common, accompany the celebration of the Night of Ragaib. The prayer performed on the Night of Ragaib will not go unnoticed by Allah, Muslims are convinced.

On this day, parents give gifts to their children, and children, in turn, delight their parents with respect and their knowledge of the Koran. Often, mosques organize competitions among children to read the holy book of Muslims.

The prayers of many believers are addressed to Allah on this day as spiritual preparation in anticipation of holy fasting during the month of Ramadan.

Thus, the Night of Ragaib in Islam is a holiday of mercy and forgiveness, when believers in prayers expect forgiveness from Allah, and the poor and poor can receive gifts.
