International Day of Remembrance for Animals Who Died at the Hands of Man (06/11)

On November 6, on the initiative of a number of animal protection organizations, an unofficial holiday was established, or rather a – day of remembrance. It is called International Day of Remembrance for Animals Who Died at the Hands of Man.

History has given the world many examples of unparalleled and selfless service of animals to humans, not to mention the fact that some representatives of the animal world still serve as food for it and are also used to make clothing.

However, even turning a blind eye to this reality, which is unacceptable for many people, there remains a whole series of examples when human activity consciously or indirectly leads to the death of representatives of the animal world. Animals die and die during wars and military conflicts, serving with people, dying in the name of human goals. Irrational examples of environmental management threaten the habitats of many fauna, depriving them of habitat and food.

Many scientific medical discoveries are made after a series of experiments on animals. Fishing for animals and representatives of the living world of the ocean is also far from rational principles and is accompanied by the death of those species that are not the purpose of fishing.

Many rare animals and birds are part of the shadow trade sector, being tormented by fishing and further transportation, during which up to 60% of them die%. In the vast majority of cases, hunting, which in ancient times served as a means of food for humans, has long turned into a hobby, the essence of which boils down to killing for pleasure. Irresponsible treatment of pets, and often just cruelty, claims thousands of lives of our little brothers…

Man honors the memory of individual animals that served him faithfully, performed feats for the sake of people, often sacrificing themselves. Monuments are erected to such animals, works of art and documentaries are dedicated to them.

November 6 – special date. Representatives of environmental organizations and animal protection funds urge us to remember all our little brothers who have become victims of human negligence, negligence, indifference or whim.

International Day of Remembrance for Animals Who Died at the Hands of Man, – is a call not only to remember, but also to rethink your activities and attitude towards the world around you, preventing the death and suffering of living beings, just like man, who is part of this world!
