Professional holiday – Marketer Day – is celebrated in Russia, Belarus and a number of other CIS countries annually on October 25. The date is timed to coincide with the creation of the Marketing and Advertising Department at the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade in 1975.
This is an unofficial holiday – it has not passed the official procedure of a government agency, but the importance of the profession cannot be overestimated.
