Day of Food Industry Workers (Ukrainian. The Day of Practitioners of the Kharchov Industry is celebrated in Ukraine annually on the third Sunday of October in accordance with the decree of the country's president of August 8, 1995.
The holiday was established during the era of the USSR, in 1966, and since then has traditionally been celebrated in a number of countries in the post-Soviet space on the third Sunday of October.
The food industry of Ukraine — consists of thousands of large, medium and small enterprises of various forms of ownership, which produce almost 20% of the total volume of industrial products. The largest part of — products sold are meat and dairy products, bread and bakery products, fats, drinks, and tobacco products.
The specifics of the industry are such that both the quantity and quality of products, which consumers evaluate and appreciate every day, depend on caring hands.
