Day of the mobilization worker of Ukraine (17/03)

Day of the mobilization worker of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Day of the mobilization worker) is a national professional holiday, which is celebrated in Ukraine annually on March 17.

On September 12, 1992, the Department of Mobilization and Acquisition of the Main Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established. A year later, on September 14, this department was reorganized into the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate (GOMU).

Taking into account the weight of mobilization bodies at all levels, the importance of mobilization, organizational, regular, registration and conscription work and recruitment of troops, as well as planning the logistics of mobilization activities, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine in August 2000 issued an order "On the establishment of the Day of the mobilization worker" , which was originally celebrated on September 14. And by order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine dated September 26, 2016 No. 497, the celebration was postponed to March 17.

During the years of Ukraine's independence, the mobilization bodies of the Ukrainian army were directly involved in the preparation of more than 80 laws and a large number of other legal acts.
