Children's Day in South Korea (05/05)

Every year on May 5, South Korea celebrates the public holiday – Children's Day. In Korean its name is: «Orini nal».

This day has become a public holiday since 1923 thanks to public teacher Bang Jong-Hwan, who proposed to approve May 1 as Children's Day. Since 1946, the celebration was moved to May 5, and the holiday became a day off in 1975.

On this day, mass entertainment events and sports competitions are held in all cities and villages, the heroes of which, of course, are children. The organizers of festive events and promotions are doing everything possible to make children feel happy and loved.

Let us remind you that International Children's Day (Children's Day) is celebrated in many countries around the world on June 1.
