Every year on August 12, all Ukrainian youth celebrate the national holiday — Youth Day (Ukrainian). «Youthday»).
Established in 1994 by Decree of the President of Ukraine № 323/94 on the initiative of youth associations and organizations, this holiday was initially celebrated on the last Sunday of June, preserving the tradition since the existence of the USSR, when «Soviet Youth Day» was celebrated on the last Sunday of June. After Ukraine gained independence, the date of the holiday remained. But in 2021, the date of the holiday was moved to August 12 and timed to coincide with International Youth Day.
The «youth» category in Ukraine includes citizens aged 14 to 35 years. Approximately a quarter of Ukraine's population are young citizens of the country.
But this day for young people — is not only a reason for celebration, it is also a time to think about the best realization of your potential for the well-being of yourself, your family, your country.
