Walking day in the park (30/03)

An unusual and unofficial holiday, but very relevant for people living in the frantic rhythm of the modern world, – Take a Walk in the Park Day – is celebrated annually on March 30.

The main goal of this Day, – of course, is to attract the attention of all citizens to such an ordinary and seemingly obvious way of relaxation as a walk in the park.

It is no secret that many residents of megacities and simply ordinary cities do not have the opportunity to regularly travel outdoors or out of town to relax and gain strength and energy in the fresh air. For people living in the modern world, objective reality has set very high rates of life, which cannot but affect the state of the nervous system and general health.

Statistics show that systematic stress and depression have already become a stable characteristic of the nervous system of a city dweller. But walking for 30 minutes a day, according to doctors, can have enormous health benefits –, not only in terms of burning calories and losing weight, but also increasing immunity, reducing the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer. It will also help increase heart activity, lower blood pressure and improve mood.

By the way, according to British doctors, being in nature (and in particular in the park) has a restorative effect on the human body, which cannot be compared with shopping or going to the movies.

Walking in the park, away from dust and noisy highways, can improve your mood and reduce stress. Research has shown that people who walk or walk in green areas tend to be happier than those who don't.

Therefore, join you in celebrating today’s healthy and energetic Day, because for this you need to choose a little – to choose your favorite park and company, or enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature in solitude.
